Side Note : Many bass players have even described the Super Reverb as a perfect bass amp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSimilar to most of the Blackface era amps, the Mojotone Super Reverb style amp offers a normal channel and a vibrato channel, each with two inputs of varying output levels. Although it retains the simplicity that goes hand-in-hand with most Fender circuits, it certainly has no shortage of tonal options. The normal channel consists of a bright switch, volume control, treble, and bass. The vibrato channel offers the same controls as the normal channel but with an added “middle” control as well as reverb level, and controls for the speed and intensity of the tube-driven tremolo. The speaker lineup and the output transformer were based on the Super amp of the time and the circuit based on the Vibrolux of the time, with no presence control and only one 12AX7 tube for the tremolo effect. It sported typical brownface cosmetics, with brown Tolex covering (introduced in 1959), and wheat-colored speaker cloth.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe 40 Watt amplifier boasted two channels (NORMAL and BRIGHT). Both channels had VOLUME, TREBLE and BASS controls; the single-control REVERB affected only the BRIGHT channel.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe tremolo effect (labeled Vibrato) had two controls, SPEED and also INTENSITY, which affected the bias of the output tubes and therefore both channels. To make room for the reverb circuitry (not found on the Super amp) a direct-coupled oscillator vibrato circuit was used which was found on the previous generation tweed amplifiers (which used two tubes fewer than the Super’s brownface vibrato circuit).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe TREBLE control was the same as found in many Fender amplifiers of the time (i.e., Pro Amp -6G5A-, the Super -6G4A-, the Showman -6G14-, the Vibrolux -6G11-). To mention just a few, Mike Bloomfield, James Burton (guitarist for Elvis Presley, John Denver and Ricky Nelson), Kurt Cobain, Steve Howe, and even John Lennon and George Harrison all used Twin Reverb amps.  These amps were responsible for some of the most iconic guitar sounds, and recordings ever produced.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Mojotone Twin Reverb style amp is 85 watts of all-tube-driven class AB glory, powered by four 6L6GC vacuum tubes.  It features a mountain of clean headroom, allowing users to run their favorite pedals through the amp at any given volume and still sound like an absolute pro.  Thick and meaty low end fills out the character of the guitar tone while still exhibiting clear and pleasant highs that don’t pierce the listener’s ear. For those who want to feel the supreme ruling power of the Mojotone Twin Reverb style amp, there is an extension speaker output on the backpanel of the amp.  As always, you can swap out the 12” speakers to those of lower power handling, to give the amp an earlier breakup and a throatier tone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRetaining and expanding upon the control panel features of the lower-powered Blackface era amps, the Twin Reverb style amp offers the most tonal control of any of our Fender-style amplifiers.  As always, the amp comes with a normal channel and a vibrato channel, each with two inputs of varying output levels (input 1 always being slightly hotter than input 2). From left to right on the normal channel, the controls are as follows -- bright switch, volume, treble, middle, bass.  And on the vibrato channel -- bright switch, volume, treble, middle, bass, reverb, speed, intensity. This amp is incredibly easy to dial in at any volume, but it also allows the user enough tonal options to have them tweaking settings for hours on end.
